Easy Overnight Oats

Updated: Feb 16, 2020

Overnight Oats Ingredients • ¾ cup milk of choice (fat free, 2%, almond milk, soy) • ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats • 1/3 cup fruit of choice (blueberries, strawberries, peaches…) • 1-2 teaspoon(s) packed brown sugar • ¼ teaspoon finely grated lemon zest (optional) • 1/8 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (or try almond or rum) • Pinch of sea salt • 1 tablespoon toasted sliced almonds • 2 teaspoons honey or agave nectar Directions The night before, combine the milk, oats, fruit, brown sugar, lemon zest, vanilla/almond extract and a pinch of salt in a glass pint jar or other container with a lid. Secure the lid and shake. Refrigerate at least 6 hours up to overnight. In the morning, top with the almonds and drizzle with honey. Good to know: You can make this in the morning and it will be ready for a quick lunch or snack too!
